Compare 200 plus paged Word documents in .NET

Using GroupDocs Comparison 3.5 to compare Word 2013 documents; some can be 200+ pages long; this sometimes take 10-15 minutes to run.


Using the demo viewer that was based on the older version, what’s the best way to speed it up, cache the results, or both?

Also, I have noticed that on documents with images or pages with different sizes, it gets the location of the comparison results wrong.

We recommend you to upgrade your application to the latest version of GroupDocs.Comparison for .NET v 17.3.0 as we have improved comparison performance in latest API versions. If you still face the performance issue please share your sample files with us so we can further investigate on this issue.
Regarding demo app which is also compatible and using latest API version of GroupDocs.Comparison for .NET, it is open source demo application and you can also modify it as per your requirement.

We hope API version upgrade will also resolve your other issues which you are facing.
