Converting PDF to HTML does not enforce copy protection in .NET

Hi,

converting the attached PDF to HTML using the latest GroupDocs.Viewer, does not enforce the copy protection option.
This PDF has copy protection turned on, so you should not be able to copy&paste text from PDF file.
After conversion to HTML, you can select any text from the HTML, which was previously protected.
The “inert” option can be used, to also prevent copying text on a HTML page, see this link.

Could this please be added in a future version of GroupDocs?

Thank you for adding sample files and link to a list of possible solutions. We’ll take a look and consider adding this feature. The issue ID is VIEWERNET-4625.

GroupDocs.Viewer for .NET 24.4 has been published. The release includes new feature to enforce copy protection by adding inert attribute to HTML document. Just update to 24.4 - no changes in code needed. Lear more about this feature at Disable copy protection documentation section.

Have a nice day!
