MSG-to-PDF rendering fails with NotImplementedException: “How to process DelimToken with '&' delim char?”

Hello GroupDocs Support,

We encounter the following exception when rendering an Outlook .msg file to PDF using GroupDocs.Viewer:

System.NotImplementedException:
How to process DelimToken with '&' delim char?

Environment

  • Windows
  • .NET Framework 4.8
  • GroupDocs.Viewer 26.8.0
  • GroupDocs.Viewer.Net462 26.8.0
  • Input: .msg exported from Microsoft Outlook
  • Output: PDF

Scenario

Our application extracts an email from Outlook as a .msg file and uses GroupDocs.Viewer to generate a PDF for preview. We retain the original .msg to access its email metadata and attachments.

Rendering the supplied message triggers the exception above.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Load the attached .msg file using GroupDocs.Viewer.
  2. Render it to PDF using PdfViewOptions .
  3. Observe the exception during rendering.

Application call stack

viewer.View(new PdfViewOptions());

Expected result

The email should render to PDF, including its headers and body, without an exception.

Questions

  • Can you reproduce this exception with the attached message?
  • Is this a known issue, and is a fix available in a later release or hotfix?
  • Is there a supported rendering option or workaround that preserves the email’s content and formatting without modifying the original .msg ?

Hi Pedro,

Thank you for reaching us and attaching a file. Yes, I confirm that we can reproduce the same exception as you have described. This is a bug inside a GroupDocs.Viewer. We will fix it in the next version 26.10 that will be released at the end of this month. I’l inform you when the version 26.10 will be ready for download.
