The error message in the title began occurring often upon upgrade from Conversion 16.10.1 to 17.04(java). Similar load profiles. Data about frequency of occurrence before and after upgrade included below

Do you mean 17.3.0 version of the API? Can you please share sample project and problematic file(s) with us. We are required this data (project/files) in order to investigate the issue.
