Document comparison API features

I am looking for a tool which has the following features –

• Support file types : PDF, DOC, DOCX, JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF
• Should be able to compare multiple files (of different file type)
• UI based comparison output
• Should be able to integrate with dotnet application
• Should be able to compare the scanned images\pdf against the original documents.
• should be able to recognize the text displacements and ignore it.

Please let me know if your product support all these.

@binuchirayath,

Thank you for taking interest in GroupDocs.Comparison and posting your concerns. We’d like to inform you that GroupDocs.Comparison supports following platforms:

  • .NET
  • Java
  • Cloud

As you are interested in .NET platform. Please note that GroupDocs.Comparison for .NET is a totally back-end, framework and UI Agnostic API that can be integrated in any .NET application. You can see API features here.

Currently, API supports these file formats.

API doesn’t support any such feature at the moment. You can only compare documents of same file type. For example, Word to Word or PDF to PDF comparison. Please see list of supported file formats here.
However, we’ve logged this scenario as an investigation in our internal issue tracking system with ID:COMPARISONNET-1578. As we have any update on it, you shall be notified.

As we mentioned earlier, GroupDocs.Comparison for .NET is a totally back-end API and it is UI Agnostic. However, you can develop your own UI and integrate API in it in order to avail its features.

API can be integrated in .NET applications.

In this case, if you have two documents of different file types (Image and PDF or Word) then API cannot compare them. We are already investigating this in the ticket mentioned earlier.
However, documents of same file format can easily be compared.

API can identify both content and font styles changes. And it provides a feature to accept or reject the changes. Please go through this article.
Can you please provide more details on this particular point? So that we can guide you with more details.
