We are currently evaluating GroupDocs.Merger for Java and would like to better understand its flexibility and capabilities, particularly in comparison with other PDF libraries such as Apache PDFBox.

We have a few questions and clarifications we are looking for:

  1. Does GroupDocs.Merger for Java support improving or preserving PDF formatting when merging PDFs generated from different sources?
  2. Can it resolve or normalize formatting issues that already exist in generated PDFs, or does it strictly perform a merge without altering layout/content?
  3. Are there any advanced options available for handling fonts, page scaling, alignment, or layout consistency during the merge process?

    GroupDocs.Merger for Java primarily focuses on merging documents and does not inherently improve or preserve complex PDF formatting when merging PDFs generated from different sources .

  2. Can it resolve or normalize formatting issues that already exist in generated PDFs, or does it strictly perform a merge without altering layout/content?
    GroupDocs.Merger for Java performs a straightforward merge operation without resolving or normalizing pre-existing formatting issues in the input PDFs .

  3. Are there any advanced options available for handling fonts, page scaling, alignment, or layout consistency during the merge process?
