File fails to render in Firefox

Hi,

I have an issue on Firefox (version 44.0.2) where files initially fail to display in GroupDocs.Viewer Java.

Clicking the thumbnails button to hide thumbnails, then clicking again to show them, forces some kind of repaint - and the file is displayed.

Is there a known issue that this can happen in some versions of Firefox? I am able to use GD Viewer fine in version 42.0 and it works fine.

Please see the screenshot attached.

Thanks,
Simon
Hello Simon,

We have tested our GroupDocs.Viewer for Java library on Firefox 46.0b8 version and it works well. Please try to upgrade the browser to a higher version and also try to remove browser cache via "Ctrl + F5" .

We will wait for your results.

Hi Evgen,

I agree it works on most versions of Firefox. Ours is a public facing service however, and I can’t ask the entire world to upgrade their browser. We need the viewer to work across a variety of different browsers and versions.

We are facing a real issue however, where a reasonable number of our user base are seeing this issue. Do you know what could cause it? Is there any workaround I could put it in place to stop it happening?

Thanks,
Simon
Hello again,

Unfortunately, there is only one temporary solution - disabling the thumbnails. At the moment our product team works on the new generation of the GroupDocs.Viewer for Java library and the issue will be fixed in it. The release should be very soon.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
