GroupDocs annotation (showcase)

Hi,


I represent NCS PTE Ltd, SG, we purchase groupdocs total package. As per our requirement we use annotation along with other products (viewer, comparison)

Downloaded the sample showcase from
https://github.com/groupdocs-annotation/GroupDocs.Annotation-for-Java/tree/master/Showcase/GroupDocs.Annotation-for-Java-using-Servlets

The features which provided in the annotation editor are not enabled completely. for e.g. tools except rectangle others are not working. Annotation tab also except delete others are not working.

Please provide the latest showcase (downloadable) where are these features (tools and also annotations) work, which will help us.

Thanks for sharing your concerns.
As you know that GroupDocs.Annotation for Java 3.x is a UI and framework Independent (back-end) API. The showcase project you are talking about demonstrates basic functionalities of the API. Moreover, our showcase projects are open-source, you can add new features in them.
Please provide the latest showcase (downloadable) where are these features (tools and also annotations) work, which will help us.
Please note, we releases regular updates of the showcase projects.

Thanks for your reply.

We dont know how to use annotation tools (round circle or pencil), code wise cant find any clue for it other than rectangle, this also didnt work as expected (mouse release is not working most of the times).

Please ask annotation team to expedite with showcase example with all these features enabled soon, this will help us to start with our development. (as we are due with development from April 1st week onwards)

Please let us know the timelines when they will be ready with showcase project.

Currently we cannot share any final ETA with you. However, as we have any update on it, we’ll notify you.
Whereas, we’d suggest you to explore GroupDocs.Annotation for Java 3.x developer guide. You can see how point/distance/arrow/text field and many other annotations can be added.

A new front end of GroupDocs.Annotation for Java 3.x is expected in June. We’ll assist you if we have any further notification.

Hello Prem,


We are pleased to inform you that a new version of our Servlets Base Front End V2.0.0 is released. It covers many new features, bug fixes and enhancements. You can learn more about it here.
However, following back-end API issues were pointed out while developing this project:
  • Line created using pencil cannot be dragged and moved.
  • Sidebar shows wrong reply messages for annotations.
  • File download throws exception.
When we have any ETA of fix on these issues, you’ll be notified. There is also some unused code in the project, which will be removed in next release. You can explore the front end, utilize new annotations and learn how they are working. We’d like to hear your feedback.
