GroupDocs.Redaction examples not working

I’m trying to make GroupDocs.Redaction examples to work (actually trying to test how redactions work). I keep getting an error:
com.groupdocs.redaction.exceptions.TrialLimitationsException: Trial mode allows only 1 document to open
I don’t use any licence. Other libraries work without any licence (even without trial licence). Is something different with this library?

All GroupDocs APIs have trial limitations. For instance, take a look at the evaluation limitation of GroupDocs.Redaction.
You can request a temporary license. This temporary license is time-restricted full license and it’ll help you to evaluate all GroupDocs.Redaction features.

But I have only one document open. I’m just trying to run one of the examples for GroupDocs.Redaction downloaded from your github repo.

  • Only 1 document can be opened in one process.
    I’m trying to redact only one document - already provided sample.docx file
  • Only 1 redaction can be applied to the document.
    Still haven’t applied any redaction to this doc
  • Any redaction is limited to 4 replacements/deletions, even if there are more matches.
    I’m fine with only 1, just to get it to work.
  • Trial badges are placed in the document on the top of each page.
    I’m fine with that, of course.

What am I doing wrong?

I just git cloned the repo from github: GitHub - groupdocs-redaction/GroupDocs.Redaction-for-Java: GroupDocs.Redation for Java samples, plugins and showcase.
GroupDocs.Redaction: 24.1 (latest)
IDE: IntelliJ IDEA 2024.2.1 (Ultimate Edition)
Java: java-8-openjdk-amd64
