Labeling most of your categories with the phrase ‘Product Family’ is not helpful. A more descriptive phrase attached to each category would be helpful.
Logging on for the first time, it tells me my chosen user name is not available, but not until AFTER I have entered my password.
What does ‘watching’ mean? If says I will be notified if someone replies, but does that mean I will get an email, or will I have to keep checking back on this forum to find out?

I guess you were observing this problem during creating a new account. If yes, then it is by design that you will see following messages after clicking the Sign Up button.
However, if you observed this problem on some other page, then can you please provide link of that page and list down the complete steps that we can follow on our end to reproduce and then fix this problem?
