PDF Encryption AES256

Hello, we are having the need to encrypt the PDF with user/owner password for latest PDF 2.0 AES256 bit encryption. We currently only have the PDF Conversion license but which other product should we use?
We saw aspose has such functionality and i thought Groupdocs was partner or at least affiliated with Aspose? Which options are their to stay at the Groupdocs suite tools?

tnx!

Do you mean you have Aspose.PDF license or GroupDocs.Conversion?

GroupDocs doesn’t support PDF encryption.
Could you please share more details (with a use-case), we’ll then guide you accordingly.

Hi,
we have a Groupdocs.Conversion license but we also need that pdf 2.0 256bit encryption. We used to use PdfSharp for this bit this only supports up to 128bit encryption and project seems abandoned. We tried implementing the new encryption rules into PdfSharp but it is not that easy :slight_smile:

I think we need Aspose PDF for this? Or does Groupdocs has a similar library?

@Verthosa

GroupDocs.Conversion doesn’t support such file encryption. However, take a look at the following Aspose.PDF documentation articles:

Please feel free to post any Aspose.PDF related issues/queries at Aspose forum.
