Highlights

  • Wheels for Linux x64 and macOS (Intel & Apple Silicon) – first platform wheels for the library.
  • Python dict or list can be used directly as a data source.
  • assemble_document() now accepts a single DataSourceInfo as well as a list.
  • Python functions or callables can be used as table‑load handlers (IDocumentTableLoadHandler).
  • Python types (float, int, datetime, etc.) are accepted where the API expects a .NET Type.
  • License can be applied automatically via the GROUPDOCS_LIC_PATH environment variable.
  • Engine upgraded to 26.7 with embedded .NET 10.0.14 runtime.
  • CVE findings from 25.5.1 resolved by updating zlib, SkiaSharp and other components.

Breaking changes (see release notes for migration details):

  • BarcodeSettings.x_resolution / y_resolution renamed to xresolution / yresolution.
  • DocumentAssembler.set_use_reflection_optimization(False) replaced by class attribute DocumentAssembler.use_reflection_optimization = False.
  • Engine errors now raise FileNotFoundError, LicenseError, GroupDocsAssemblyException or RuntimeError; LicenseError and GroupDocsAssemblyException no longer inherit from RuntimeError.
  • 32‑bit Windows wheel has been removed.
