Dear GroupDocs Customers,
We are pleased to announce the release of GroupDocs.Redaction for .NET 26.10. This version brings greater flexibility for Windows-based applications, a more convenient evaluation experience, and improvements to document processing.
What’s New
- Better support for Windows applications – Developers can now choose Windows-specific builds for .NET 6, .NET 8, and .NET 10. These builds take advantage of Windows-native components, including
System.Drawing, to improve compatibility with Windows environments. Cross-platform builds remain available for Linux and other supported platforms. - A more flexible trial experience – You can now evaluate the product by opening up to 25 documents within a single process without applying a license. The previous restrictions on the number of documents, redactions, and replacements have been lifted. Saved documents continue to include trial badges.
- More predictable output for rasterized documents – Documents that are converted to PDF during loading are now saved in the source file’s directory. This change helps keep generated files organized and prevents them from appearing unexpectedly in the application’s working directory.
- Security improvements – Updated cryptographic dependencies help address known security vulnerabilities in supported .NET builds.
New API Capability
Version 26.10 also adds License.IsLicensed, a property that lets you determine whether the component has an active license.
You can use it to conditionally execute licensed document processing:
using GroupDocs.Redaction;
License license = new License();
license.SetLicense("GroupDocs.Redaction.lic");
if (license.IsLicensed)
{
using (Redactor redactor = new Redactor("sample.pdf"))
{
// Licensed processing
}
}
