Dear GroupDocs Customers,
GroupDocs.Redaction for .NET v26.9 introduces improved cross-platform support , making it possible to use GroupDocs.Redaction in projects running on Linux and other supported operating systems.
Key New Features
- Improved cross-platform compatibility – Removed the
System.Drawingdependency from the .NET 6, .NET 8, and .NET 10 packages, making these packages better compatible with Linux and other platforms. The .NET Framework 4.6.2 version continues to use the WindowsSystem.Drawingstack. - Platform-independent public API – Replaced
System.Drawingtypes in the GroupDocs.Redaction public API with corresponding types from theGroupDocs.Redaction.Options.Drawingnamespace.
Important API Changes
Version 26.9 introduces breaking changes for applications that use System.Drawing types in the GroupDocs.Redaction API.
If your application uses System.Drawing types such as Color , Point , Size , Rectangle , or Font , replace them with the corresponding types from the GroupDocs.Redaction.Options.Drawing namespace.
For example, a colored-box redaction can now be implemented as follows:
using GroupDocs.Redaction.Options.Drawing;
using GroupDocs.Redaction.Redactions;
using (Redactor redactor = new Redactor("sample.docx"))
{
redactor.Apply(
new ExactPhraseRedaction("John Doe", new ReplacementOptions(Color.Black)));
redactor.Save();
}
