Highlights

  • Index folders of 80 + document formats and search them with keyword, phrase, wildcard, regex, fuzzy, boolean, faceted and date‑range queries.
  • Fuzzy, synonym, homophone and word‑form search using built‑in English dictionaries, with optional spelling and keyboard‑layout correction.
  • Highlight found terms in whole documents or fragments as HTML or plain text via DocumentHighlighter and FragmentHighlighter.
  • Subscribe to .NET engine events from Python using +=/-= to control indexing and search workflows.
  • Implement custom extractors, loggers, word splitters and other extension points as plain Python classes or functions.
  • Incremental index updates, segment optimization and document deletion to keep indexes current.
  • License handling via GROUPDOCS_LIC_PATH environment variable or License().set_license(). Without a license the engine limits indexing to 100 documents and returns only the first 10 results.
  • Wheels embed the .NET 10.0.14 runtime and run on Python 3.5‑3.14 across Windows, Linux and macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon).

Install:

pip install pip==26.10

As always, feedback and bug reports are welcome in this category.
