[Release] GroupDocs.Total for Java v26.10 – PDF Side-by-Side Comparison, OFD Viewing, and JDK 16+ Assembly

Dear GroupDocs customers,

We are pleased to announce the release of GroupDocs.Total for Java v26.10. This suite update brings the latest GroupDocs Java libraries into a single package — including PDF side-by-side comparison, OFD viewing, conversion cancellation, and Assembly on JDK 16+ without extra JVM flags.

Key New Features

  • Comparison 26.10 — PDF side-by-side comparison, page-range compare, and Cells row/column info. External resources are skipped by default.
  • Viewer 26.9 — OFD format support, hidden PDF popup annotations, and Word DPI / page-number options when rendering to raster.
  • Conversion 26.9 — Cooperative cancellation for long conversions, plus conversions between Bzip2, Gzip, LZMA, XZ, and Unix Z.
  • Assembly 26.10.1 — Plain Java objects work as data sources on JDK 16+ without --add-opens. JavaBean, Map, and collection templates are easier to use.
  • Redaction 26.10 — OOXML compliance when saving Word files, spreadsheet templates (XLT / XLTX / XLTM / TAB), and a custom handler for PDF page-area redaction.
  • Parser 26.9 — Annotation extraction from PDF, Word, and presentations; HTML tables, page count, and text areas.
  • Search 26.9.1 — New index format 26.7 (existing indexes upgrade in place). HTML is extracted natively.

Major Improvements & Fixes

  • Fix (Assembly): The suite no longer registers an invalid StAX provider, so the host application’s XML stack keeps working.
  • Fix (Comparison): PDF tables and layout, HTML apply-changes on Java 9+, and macOS temp directories.
  • Fix (Viewer): EML special characters, PDF comments, Arabic DOCX, and EPSF parsing.
  • Fix (Parser / Markdown): Metered licensing works again; lower memory use on image-heavy PDFs.
  • Fix (Search): Index merge/delete issues and a Windows font UnsatisfiedLinkError.
  • Fix (Watermark): Words native calls, license apply, embedded email objects, and PDF annotation watermarks.
  • Fix (Redaction): Image-area positioning on PDF pages; DrawBox skipped for CSV / TAB / TSV.

Metadata 26.7, Editor 26.7, Merger 26.4, Signature 26.5, and Annotation 25.6 are unchanged from Total 26.8.
