Wrong fonts on Linux

Hi,

When we convert the same ppt file on Windows and on Linux - we get different results. The Linux version seems to use wrong fonts, so words are shifted to wrong places and the result is not acceptable.

I am attaching in a zip file the original ppt file and the two files resulting from conversion on the two operating systems.

Do you have a solution to this issue?

Thanks!

Hello,

We are sorry for the issue. We just tried to ask you, that you try to add the fonts to your OS, this scenario helped for a lot of users.

Thank you.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as CONVERSIONJAVA-92) have been fixed in this update.

This message was posted using Notification2Forum from Downloads module by GroupDocs Notifier.

When we installed fonts from PowerPointViewer on CentOS - it helped in many cases, but there are still some MS Office or Open Office files in languages such as Chinese, Hebrew, Arabic etc where the result is gibberish (squares and question marks mainly).

Some documents in these languages do get converted properly, so it seems that additional fonts may be missing, and we wonder how GroupDocs Conversion decides which alternative fonts to use when the exact fonts are missing, and whether this is configurable.
I am attaching a zip file containing a few files that convert nicely on Windows but not on CentOS Linux even with the MS fonts installed.
Hello,

Thank you for posting and using GroupDocs.Conversion.

We have tested your files and have managed to reproduce the same issues at our side. We have logged these problems in our issue tracking system as CONVERSIONJAVA-91(squares and questions) and CONVERSIONJAVA-92(different fonts). We have linked this forum thread to the same issues and you will be notified via this forum thread once these issues will be resolved.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
